Pantry / Auxiliary Kitchen - Klosterneuburg
On this project we were challenged to transform a small room that was utilized as pantry and a everyday storage room into a modern classy and homey pantry with a supplementary kitchen function with plenty of organized storage space.
It was important for the client and for us to have a neutral color palette that would connect all the items in the room and that at the same time would give a calming yet original atmosphere. The different colored clouds wallpaper gave the room the illusion of a much needed openness, that amplified the visual space and at the same time unified the home appliances, the pantry furnishings, the floor, the window treatments with the outside.
The red vintage Chinese wedding cabinet not only provides a center visual point with its colorful contrast at the entrance of the room but also serves as a liquor storage cabinet and as a decorative platform filled with a homey traditional and familiar feeling.
